JIS started brightly and took the lead through Gio De Sando with a cool finish, for the first half hour between Matano, McAteer and De Sando JIS were playing bright football and Craig Graham went on a trademark storming run, this is where the fun ended. After the half hour mark JIS seemed to lose all interest in the game and Stevens was forced to come off his line quickly to keep the score at 1-0 into the break.

 Second half arrived………JIS didn’t, Queenstown were all over them and got a goal back when a combination of Pitt, Davidson, Graham and Stevens all had chances to do better than what they did and didn’t, the ball creeping over the line and the most disappointing of goals to let in. No real chances of note followed, McAteer had a volley from a goal kick, until Tom Hunt was first onto a spillage from a Matano shot and he fired over the empty net
